Sedgling Tangle

 Sedgling

Tangle AuthorsRick Roberts and Maria Thomas

Materials needed for this lesson: Pencil, black marker and piece of paper (I divided a sheet of 8.5 x 11 inch piece of plain white paper into fourths by folding it in half lengthwise and then folding it in half again width-wise. I drew my tangle on one-fourth of the paper.)

Video Instructions for drawing Sedgling.

Ellen drew Sedgling on this tile then colored the background gray with a pencil. She drew a dark gray 'shadow' around each  Sedgling.

Ellen created this tile by drawing Sedgling with a black marker. Notice the variations of Sedgling that she drew: triangles and 4-sided figures in addition to orbs.  She colored the Sedgling in with a variety of colored markers and completed the tile by using a pencil to color the background gray and drawing a dark gray "shadow" around each Sedgling.

Ellen created this tile by drawing Sedgling in a variety of sizes. In some of the Sedgling she added orbs or stripes. She completed the tile by using a pencil to color the background gray and drawing a dark gray "shadow" around each Sedgling.

Two tiles created by Ellen. Both use the tangle, Hugging, as a grid on which to draw Vitruvious and Sedgling. The tile on the right is shaded.

Two zentangle tiles created by Ellen. Both tiles use the tangle, Huggins, as a grid on which to draw Sedgling and Vitruvious.
The tile on the left uses color for the Sedgling tangle. The tile on the right is shaded. Notice the variations of Sedgling in both tiles: triangles, 4-sided figures and hearts in addition to the traditional orbs.
